This is several reasons why you can't navigate throw the planner using hyperlinks.
At first, reMarkable allows you clicking on hyperlinks only using finger, not a stylus. So please be sure you don't use your pen. Fingers are only one option.
The second reason might be associated with downloading issues.
- Please download planner again using Web Browser like Chrome or Safari;
- Try to click on links.
If links work properly, please just import file to device again:
- Connect your reMarkable to the computer with a USB Type-C cable.
- Access the reMarkable drive on your computer.
- Drag and place PDF files into the "Documents" directory on your reMarkable drive.
If links again work on PC, but they are unlickable on reMarkable, please try another trick:
- Download Planner and find it on computer disk (in most cases, the file is being placed to "Downloads" folder.
- Click on it using right mouse button. Choose "Compress".
- You'll see a new zip file that contains your planner.
- Import it to the device and open.
- Device will extract PDF from zip archive and open it.
- Hyperlinks must work properly.
We hope this manual was helpful for you.
The best way is using remarkable customizable planners. It allows you to have many templates hyperlinked between each other. In full planners you can find suitable template for any case and use it easy.
Template configuring and downloading:
- Go to this page and choose your most suitable planner. Pay for it and access the planner.

Uploading a PDF template to your reMarkable tablet is similar to uploading a PNG template. However, keep in mind that PDFs are typically used as documents on reMarkable, not as templates. Still, if you wish to set a PDF as a template, follow these steps:
1. Connect reMarkable to Computer:
- Use a USB cable to connect your reMarkable to your computer.
- Your reMarkable should be recognized as an external storage device.
2. Transfer the PDF:
- Access the reMarkable's storage from your computer.
- Navigate to the templates directory.
- Transfer (or drag and drop) your PDF file into this directory.
3. Update Templates Configuration:
- In the templates directory, you'll find a templates.json file. This file configures all templates on the device.
- Backup the templates.json file before editing.
- Open templates.json in the editor.
- Add an entry for your new PDF template, like:
json
{
"name": "Your Template Name",
"filename": "your_template_file_name.pdf",
"iconCode": "\ue9xx",
"categories": ["Your Category"]
}
Replace
- Your Template Name with a name for your template.
- your_template_file_name.pdf with the name of the PDF you transferred.
- Y\ue9xx with an icon Unicode value. You can choose one from existing entries or use the example provided.
- YYour Category with the category you wish the template to appear under (e.g., "Custom", "Work", etc.).
- Save the file and safely eject the reMarkable device from your computer.
4. Restart Your reMarkable:
- Safely disconnect your reMarkable from your computer.
- Restart the device.
- After rebooting, your custom PDF template should be available when creating or editing a notebook./li>
Note: Always ensure you back up any important data before making changes to your reMarkable's system files. If you're unsure about any of the steps, consider seeking further guidance or assistance.
As of my last update the reMarkable 2 doesn't natively support syncing with external calendars like Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. It is primarily designed for note-taking, sketching, and reading documents.
However, if you're looking to integrate calendar functionality or synchronize with an external calendar, here are some potential workarounds:
- Calendar Import form your calendar app
- Generate or download a PDF version of your calendar from calendar app, what you use (if this feature is available).
- Transfer this PDF to the reMarkable, which then lets you annotate it as needed.
- Note: This method is static. It won't automatically update with changes made in the original calendar app.
- PDF Calendar Template Import:
- Choose and download Digital Calendar from this section.
- Upload PDF to reMarkable storage as a document.
- Use reMarkable handwriting to fill calendar.
This is two main methods, that help you to use calendars on reMarkable device.
You can do it using PC and reMarkable Cloud. Look at this video to figure out how to do it.
Also we provide text manual.
- Ensure that your reMarkable 1 is connected to Wi-Fi and that you're logged in to your reMarkable account. Once connected, the device will automatically sync all your files, notes, and documents to the cloud.
- Set Up Your reMarkable 2. When you set up your reMarkable 2 for the first time, log in with the same reMarkable account you used with your reMarkable 1.
- Automatic Transfer: Once you're logged in on the reMarkable 2 and connected to Wi-Fi, the device will automatically sync all your files from the cloud. This includes everything you had on your reMarkable 1.
Check Your Files: After the sync is complete, check your reMarkable 2 to ensure all your documents, notes, and files have been transferred correctly.
Using the reMarkable cloud service ensures a seamless transition between devices. As long as you use the same account on both tablets, all your files will be available on any device you log into.
The reMarkable series of tablets are designed to offer a paper-like reading, writing, and sketching experience. While both the reMarkable 1 and reMarkable 2 offer core functionalities that are similar, there are several key differences between the two models. Here's a comparative breakdown based on the information available up to 2021:
1. Design and Build:
- reMarkable 1: Made of plastic with physical buttons on the bottom for navigation.
- reMarkable 2: Sports a sleeker, thinner (only 4.7mm) design with an aluminum body, making it more durable and modern. It does away with the physical navigation buttons.
2. Battery Life:
- reMarkable 1: Offers a battery life of around 3-5 days depending on usage.
- reMarkable 2: Comes with an improved battery that can last up to two weeks on a single charge, a significant enhancement over its predecessor.
3. Performance:
- reMarkable 2: Features a faster processor, leading to quicker page turns, faster document opening, and overall improved responsiveness.
4. Accessories:
- reMarkable 1: Comes with a standard stylus.
- reMarkable 2: Provides options for two stylus types: The Marker and the Marker Plus. The latter includes an eraser on the top end, offering greater convenience for writing and drawing.
5. Charging & Connectors:
- reMarkable 1: Uses a micro-USB port for charging.
- reMarkable 2: Upgrades to a USB-C port for faster charging and modern compatibility.
6. Magnetic Attachment:
- reMarkable 2: The stylus can magnetically attach to the side of the device, a feature absent in the reMarkable 1.
7. Software Features:
While the core software features remain largely consistent, reMarkable 2 received updates and improvements faster initially due to its newer status. However, many of these updates also made their way to reMarkable 1.
8. Price:
- reMarkable 2: Typically, it's priced higher than the reMarkable 1 due to its advanced features and improvements.
9. Availability:
- By 2021, reMarkable 1 was no longer being promoted as actively as the reMarkable 2, which could affect availability and support in the long term.
10. Weight:
- reMarkable 2: It's lighter than the reMarkable 1, adding to its portability.
In summary, while both tablets aim to provide a digital paper experience, the reMarkable 2 offers several hardware and design improvements, making it a more advanced and refined version of its predecessor. If you're deciding between the two, your choice will likely hinge on budget, desired features, and how you prioritize elements like battery life, design, and performance.
Using the reMarkable marker is quite intuitive, especially if you've ever used a stylus or a regular pen. However, there are some specific features and best practices associated with the reMarkable marker. Here's a basic guide:
1. Setup:
- No Charging Required: The reMarkable marker doesn't have a battery, so there's no need to charge it.
- Nibs: The marker comes with replaceable nibs. Over time, with regular use, the nib may wear down and need replacement.
2. Writing & Drawing:
- Natural Writing: Simply write or draw on the reMarkable tablet's surface as you would with pen on paper.
- Pressure Sensitivity: The marker is pressure-sensitive. Pressing harder results in thicker lines, while a gentler touch will produce finer lines.
3. Navigation:
- Marker Button (for Marker Plus): If you have the Marker Plus (the premium version), there's an eraser on the opposite end. To erase, simply flip the marker and use the eraser end on the tablet's surface. Some versions may also have a button on the side, which activates the eraser tool when pressed.
4. Customization:
- Pen Types: On the tablet's screen, you can select different pen types (e.g., ballpoint, pencil, brush) to change the writing or drawing style.
- Thickness & Color: Adjust the stroke thickness or color (grayscale shades) using the tablet's software options.
5. Maintenance:
- Replacing Nibs: After extensive use, if the nib wears out or you notice the writing experience isn't as smooth, it might be time to replace the nib. To do so, gently use the nib replacement tool (usually provided with the reMarkable) to pull out the old nib and insert a new one.
- Storing the Marker: The reMarkable 2 allows for magnetic attachment of the marker to the tablet's side. For the reMarkable 1 or if you don't prefer magnetic attachment, store the marker in a secure place to prevent loss or damage.
6. Troubleshooting:
- Not Writing: If the marker isn't writing, ensure the nib is intact and not overly worn down. If necessary, replace the nib.
- Inconsistent Strokes: Ensure your tablet's screen is clean and free from smudges or debris. Occasionally, rebooting the tablet can help resolve minor glitches.
Remember, while the reMarkable marker is designed for the reMarkable tablet, using it on other surfaces or devices may not produce the desired results and could damage the marker's nib. Always use it as intended for the best experience.
